Question:	I don't understand how to find Warp Technology?  How do I research it?
ANSWER:		Included with the mod is a basic Tech Tree.  This will help guide you through the technology.

Question:	How do I design remote mining ships? I cannot fit enough crew quarter components on them.
ANSWER:		Remote mining ships require 16 and 26 crew quarters. The mining components have built in crew quarter abilities so after adding 10 crew quarters, fill the remaining crew quarter requirement with remote mining components.

Question:	When I start the game using the QUICK START option the designs I have don't have warp cores or nacelles. How do I fix this?
ANSWER:		This is a bug with SEIV.  Please read the "Quick Star Games" section in the Before You Play document to learn how to over come this bug.

Question:	I cannot use the Expansion Construction Yard facility.  When I try to build it I get an error saying only one per system allowed.
ANSWER:		You must first build an Expansion Construction Project.  Once that facility is built, you must UPGRADE to a Expansion Construction Yard.  UPGRADE - UPGRADE	

Question:	The game won't load. I get all kinds of errors.
ANSWER:		Update your version of the SE IV to Deluxe.  Install the Image Packs as directed in both the Installation and Before You Play documents. Be sure that you installed the Full version of this mod and not just the patch.

Question:	When I tried setting up a game the manual way (new game) when I started with the federation I had nothing, no facilities and no tech of any kind?
ANSWER:		You need to select the proper racial trait.  In this case you need to select the Federation Advanced Racial Trait.

Question:	I don't have troops!  Why don't I have troops?
ANSWER:		You did not select the two Free Tech Advanced Racial Traits; Troops and Infantry.

Question:  	What does WPL, WPM, and WPH mean in the Quadrant set up?
ANSWER:    	Warp Point Light, Warp Point Medium, and Warp Point Heavy.  Also refer to Fyrons FQ help or his web site.

Question:  	I get all kinds of errors when I start the mod what do I do?
ANSWER:	   	Make sure you have installed the full version of the mod and not just the patch.

Question:  	I get an error saying that my race does not have Phased-Energy weapons.  What is causing this?
ANSWER:	   	You have installed only the patch and not the full version of the mod.  The Game is substituting other races for the missing ones and is using there AI data which is not set up for the STM

Question:  	I get errors saying that I do not have a BMP file.  Why?
ANSWER:    	You need to install the Image Pack (Components/Facilities/Planets/Combat/Event Packs).

Question:  	Can I modify the EMP files?
ANSWER:    	Yes, but I would recommend that you save them under a differant name as not to currupt the orignals.

Question:  	I got a load error: unable to load bitmap c:..\..\..\pictures\systems\1024 x768\nova 4 .bmp error in one of my games. 
ANSWER 1: 	You will need to get the system images from FQM Deluxe. Alternatively, copy the FQM Standard SystemTypes.txt file into your STM folder. It is the same file, except that it uses no new images, only stock system images. This will in no way shape or form cause any data file mismatch errors with multiplayer games.
ANSWER 2:  	Be sure that you have the current version of SEIV installed. 1.91

Question:  	Why don't I have any colony technology?
ANSWER:	   	You need to select one of the Colony Racial Traits under Advanced Racial Traits.

Question: 	I am getting an error message in combat.
ANSWER: 	You need to install the latest version of the Image Pack - specifically the COMBAT pack. www.spaceempires.net IMAGE MOD Mirror.

Question: 	I am getting an error that a back ground bmp will not load.
ANSWER: 	Download FQM Deluxe and copy over all of the system images to your base systems folder in your space empires iv directory. 

Question: 	I get errors when I try to start the mod that say Values unknown.
ANSWER: 	Update your version of Space Empires IV to 1.91

Question: 	Why won't my colony ship move?
ANSWER: 	You need to have four (4) warp nacelles on your design as it indicates in the Colony Hull abilities.

Question: 	1000kt warp core!
ANSWER: 	Use the Propulsion Mounts.

Question: 	I cannot use the Map Editor, why?
ANSWER: 	Start the Mod Launcher, Select the Star Trek Mod, Click on the EDIT MAPS button, This will load the Map editor using the MOD FILES. You will have to direct the Sav Map or Load Map to the Mods Map folder though.

Question: 	What is the Mod Launcher?
ANSWER: 	It is a utility that allows you to load mods for Space Empires without manually having to change the path file. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin/newuploads/1039630481.zip

Question: 	Why can't I read all of the mod description in the Mod Launcher window?
ANSWER: 	You need to install the SEIV fonts. (Read the Before You Play Read-Me)

Question: 	Can I use the Star Trek ship sets out side of the mod?
ANSWER: 	Yes you can. However you will not be able to use the AI. You will need to copy over and make new AI or download the sets separately from www.pbw.cc ("Star Trek Race" NASY) Look for the latest versions.

Question:	Why won't the star trek maps work?
ANSWER:		Because they were made using an out dated version of FQM Deluxe and the mod no longers uses these files. You use the included DATA file in the MAPS folder if you wish in order to use the Star Trek Maps. Read the Read-Me file though.

Question:	When I start the mod with the mod launcher I get an error that crashes SEIV Deluxe. What is causing this.
ANSWER:		You using an older version of the mod, one that does not include the new load menu BMP which was introduced with the latest Space Empires Patch 1.94. Download the current full version of the Star Trek Mod and install it.

Question:	How do I add new races to the mod?
ANSWER:		Replace the new races AI files with files from an exsisting race and modify those files to conform to your new races.  

Question:	Why do I not have any colony tech?
ANSWER:		You set up your own race and did not select the oppropriate Rock/Ice/Gas colony racial trait.

Question:	Is it considered cheating if I take the PBW research and other AI tech?
ANSWER:		Yes, especially in PBW games that do not call for this.  In personal games, its your call.

Question:	Can I add more tech to the tech tree?
ANSWER:		Yes, but you will also need to modify all of the AI_Research files... there are over 40 of them.

Question:	Who made these Star Trek ship images?  Can I use them in my mods?
ANSWER:		The ship images were created by William Christopher, a.k.a. Atrocities, thats me, and yes you can so long as you include the credit files from the races you uses.
